The operator's fares table lists separate card and cash prices; the cash fare is lower. Card prices: adult $13.50 one way and $25.75 round trip, child $8.75 and $15.50, senior $12.50 and $23.75, dog $7.75 round trip. Cash prices: adult $13.00 and $25.00, child $8.50 and $15.00, senior $12.00 and $23.00, dog $7.50 round trip. Tickets are sold in person only before boarding; the operator sells and accepts no digital tickets, and a ticket does not reserve a place on any particular trip. Card payments have a $10 minimum and use a separate boarding line at Davis Park. Identification may be required for special fares. The fares image carries no date, and the operator's FAQ still gives the dog fare as $6.75, which does not match the table. Freight and carts are charged separately. All fares in US dollars (USD).

Davis Park Ferry Co., Inc. runs a passenger boat from its terminal at 80 Brightwood Street in Patchogue to Davis Park, one of the eastern communities on Fire Island, across the Great South Bay. The operator's FAQ puts the trip at about 20 minutes. It describes Davis Park as a car-free community of about 250 homes with a marina, a lifeguarded beach and a bar and restaurant, and says that cars are not permitted there and that bicycles are barred from its boardwalks. A separate Watch Hill route leaves from another Patchogue terminal; that service ended for 2026 and is due back in mid-May 2027, according to the operator. This is a seasonal operation, and the date to know is the end of the printed Fall 2026 schedule, November 29. Through November 1 there are two round trips on Monday to Thursday, three on Friday and Saturday, and four on Sunday. From November 6 to November 29 the schedule lists only Friday, Saturday and Sunday: one round trip on Friday and two on Saturday and Sunday. It lists no Monday to Thursday trips after November 1, and no schedule beyond November 29 was found. Whether service stops then or continues in some other form is something the operator has not said. Tickets are bought in person before boarding. The operator accepts no digital tickets, a ticket does not hold a seat on a particular trip, and card payments have a $10 minimum and use their own boarding line at Davis Park. Cash is cheaper than card by 50 cents on an adult one way. An adult round trip costs $25.75 by card or $25.00 in cash, and the operator says to keep the return ticket because a lost one pays the full one-way fare. Arrive 15 minutes before departure; the operator says latecomers may not be allowed to board. Weather decides a lot in autumn. The printed schedule warns that high tides and gale-force winds will likely cancel trips, and it marks several departures as weather permitting. The parking lot at the terminal, called the Sandspit, belongs to the Town of Brookhaven and is separate from the ferry; the operator lists a non-sticker rate of $4 an hour on weekdays, $5 an hour on weekends and holidays, and $25 for a day.
  • Arrive at the terminal several minutes before departure; vehicle lanes close earlier than the foot-passenger gate.
  • Check the operator's service alerts before you set out — weather, tides and vessel maintenance change sailings.
  • Confirm accepted payment methods: some crossings are card-only and some take cash only.
