Flagship lists a one-way fare of $9 for ages 4 and up on both Coronado routes (Broadway Pier and Convention Center) and $15 one way on the Chula Vista route. All tickets are sold as one-way; for a round trip, buy two one-way tickets. Coronado tickets are valid for the purchased route on any scheduled departure, subject to vessel capacity. Tickets are sold online, at kiosks near boarding areas and at the ticket booth at Broadway Pier. Bicycles ride at no additional charge on the Coronado ferries, space permitting. Flagship's page does not state a fare for children under 4, so none is shown. All fares in US dollars (USD).

Flagship Cruises & Events runs the Coronado ferry across San Diego Bay, and it runs more than one route, which is where most confusion starts. This page follows the Broadway Pier to Coronado Ferry Landing line: Broadway Pier is at 990 N Harbor Dr in downtown San Diego, the Coronado Ferry Landing at 1201 1st St on the Coronado side. Flagship lists the ride at 15 minutes and the fare at $9 one way for ages 4 and up. On this line boats leave Broadway Pier on the hour and the Coronado landing on the half hour. Monday through Friday there is also a block of commuter departures: 4:50 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. from Broadway Pier, 5:10 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. from Coronado, every 40 minutes. From 9:00 a.m. the schedule is hourly to 9:00 p.m. from San Diego, with an extra 10:00 p.m. sailing marked Friday/Saturday, and 10:30 p.m. from Coronado. Flagship's FAQ says commuter service stops on a list of weekday holidays but gives no dates, so the holiday dates loaded on this page are calculated by us. A second Coronado route leaves from the Convention Center's Fifth Avenue Landing, 600 Convention Way, every 30 minutes, also 15 minutes and $9. A third, to Chula Vista, is a different service at $15 with fewer sailings. Make sure the ticket you buy matches the pier you are standing on: Flagship says Coronado tickets are valid for the purchased route on any scheduled departure, subject to vessel capacity. Tickets are sold online, at kiosks near the boarding areas and at the ticket booth at Broadway Pier. Every ticket is one way, so a round trip is two tickets. Bicycles ride free, space permitting. The Coronado vessels have interior and exterior seating, the main decks are wheelchair accessible but the exterior top deck is not, and there are no restrooms and no food service aboard. Flagship asks passengers to arrive at least 10 minutes early, and more on busy weekends, holidays and event days. Service can be delayed or adjusted for weather or operational reasons; the number to call is (619) 234-4111.
  • Arrive at the terminal several minutes before departure; vehicle lanes close earlier than the foot-passenger gate.
  • Check the operator's service alerts before you set out — weather, tides and vessel maintenance change sailings.
  • Confirm accepted payment methods: some crossings are card-only and some take cash only.
